Auf einigen der Titel nimmt der NDR Bigband Musiker Ingolf Burkhardt, mit mattiertem Flügelhorn und auf der Trompete die Melodien auf, setzt Kontrapunkte, skizziert Silhouetten für neue Klangbilder. Die Harmonien und Melodien, die Ehlers kreiert, zeugen von großer Zielstrebigkeit, Empathie und Emotionalität.

The third record by pianist Martin Ehlers and his trio is certainly the most jazzy record he has released to date. Ehlers is supported by his well-established rhythm section with Thomas Biller on upright bass and Derek Scherzer on drums. On some of the tracks, NDR Bigband musician Ingolf Burkhardt picks up the melodies with his matted flugelhorn or on trumpet, sets counterpoints, sketches silhouettes for new soundscapes.
The harmonies and melodies that Ehlers creates show great determination, empathy and emotionality.
